I Read Dangerously

I read dangerously

            With a loving heart

                        And open mind.                    

I read to immerse myself in someone’s world

            To recognize

                        To empathize

                                    To sympathize.

I read to experience

            To understand

                        To take a stand

                                    To make it in demand.

I read to connect

            To heal

                        To appeal

                                    To reveal

                        Voices             that

Have                                                   been

                        Silenced.

Everyone has the right

            To write

                        What fuels their hearts

                                                fingertips.

                                    their

                        from

            ignites

And     

I read:

Love

            Pain

                        Hope

                                    Despair

                                                Joy

                                                            Loss

                                                                        Humor

                                                                                    Justice

                                                                                                Life.

I proudly read what anyone is called to write.
