Fall Fun

I still remember this moment. Raking leaves on a brisk fall day. Boys warm from exertion as the leaf pile grows higher.

Scarlet. Copper. Amber. Sepia. Olive—a charming, crinkled collage.

Before the mound of leaves get moved to the woods, Nick launches mid-air and lands at the bottom of the pile.

Crunch. Crackle. Oomph. Laughter as Stephen pile drives his big brother.

For a moment they are hidden. Laughing boys pop up.
